Duracoat Silicone Exterior Emulsion

Duracoat Silicone Exterior Emulsion is a high performance premium grade exterior paint formulated with unique organo-silicone chemistry which imparts visible water repellency. It also allows substrate to breathe almost unhindered. This property minimizes potential for peeling and flaking from entrapped moisture. Its strong water repellency also has self-cleaning effect and excellent resistance to microbial attack. This ensures long term protection of the surface and preserves its rich new look.

Finish : Matt

Application : By Brush or roller

Thinning : User first coat diluted at 40% with water as a primer followed by 2 coats diluted at 20%

with water. Do not over thin.

Drying time : Touch Dry : 20-30 minutes

Re coating : 4 hours

Cleaning : Clean all equipment with water

Colour Range: Selected range of colours from Duracoat Colour Card, Duracoat Classic and Color plus Fan Deck.

Spread Rate: 10-12 sqmt / litre when applied on smooth plaster. Coverage is considerably reduced when coating over rough textures

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

SURFACE PREPARATION:

Surfaces must be clean and dry. All loose and flaking paint, mould and dust must be completely removed.

Cracks and surface defects should be filled up with appropriate fillers.

NEW SURFACE:

Ensure the surface to be painted is dry especially in cases where plastering has just been carried out. Apply 3 coats of Duracoat Silicone Exterior Emulsion paint allowing 4 hours drying time between coats. User first coat diluted at 40% with water as a primer followed by 2 coats diluted at 20% with water. Do not over thin. If the wall is highly alkaline (pH above 9) then apply first coat of Duracoat Alkali Resistant Primer followed by 3 coats of Duracoat Silicone Exterior Emulsion.

PREVIOUSLY PAINTED SURFACE:

Strip all the old paint and remove all the loose particles before starting the above process.

STORAGE: After painting close the lid of the tin tightly and store in a cool dry place and re use in one month time.
